Black Student Union (BSU) - The purpose of Black Student Union of The University of Mississippi is to foster a sense of community among all students of the African American community at Ole Miss. In addition, the BSU is the “umbrella” organization of many of the African American student organizations, providing a forum for them to voice their differences, goals, and ideas.

 

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) - The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. The vision of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure a society in which all individuals have equal rights without discrimination based on race.

University of Mississippi Gospel Choir (UMGC) - The first college gospel chopper to sign with a major gospel record label, UMGC is an organization that has faithfully sung the Lord's praises for the last 45 years.. Generations of African American students have found fellowship, support, and inspiration as they have striven for musical and academic excellence at the University. The gospel choir is a family and community where individuals find strength in each other through voice.
